Phase 2 Officially Launched at the Maryam Nawaz School & Resource Centre for Autism; Admission of 72 New Children and Distribution of Free Uniforms

Ms. Sania Ashiq, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister of Punjab for Special Education, along with Mr. Shoaib Iqbal Syed, Secretary Special Education, and Lt. Retd. Muhammad Shoaib Khan Jadoon, Director General Special Education, formally inaugurated the Phase 2 Program of the Maryam Nawaz School & Resource Centre for Autism.

During the ceremony, it was announced that 72 newly enrolled children would be provided with education, therapy, and assessment plans equipped with modern facilities. Planning and follow-up systems tailored to the individual needs of each child will be further strengthened.

Parents were also provided guidance regarding the symptoms of autism, training methodologies, and support strategies at home.

On this occasion, Special Assistant Ms. Sania Ashiq stated that this is not merely a building or a program, but the fulfillment of a promise made by Chief Minister Maryam Nawaz Sharif. She said that the role of parents in this mission is unforgettable, and their support and trust are the real strength behind this journey. She further added that Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif has always remained deeply concerned about the care and future of children with autism, and this institution is a practical manifestation of that commitment.

Mr. Shoaib Iqbal Syed, Secretary Special Education, stated that internationally trained experts are being engaged for the training and development of the children.

Lt. Retd. Muhammad Shoaib Khan Jadoon, Director General Special Education, said that their foremost objective is to help children with autism become well-trained, confident, and independent members of society.
