In a significant event held on November 30, 2023, the closing ceremony signified the completion of the training program on "Capacity Building of Teachers and Professionals for Education and Rehabilitation of Children with Autism Spectrum Disorder." This training program is a noteworthy initiative of Govt. Of Punjab, Special Education Department. 30 candidates carefully selected from 10 districts of Punjab have been trained through experts in the field of Autism.
The specialized training aimed at equipping teachers and professionals with the necessary skills to address the unique needs of children with Autism Spectrum Disorder. These 30 trainees, now certified as master trainers, not only will improve the educational environment within their schools but also play a pivotal role in disseminating their knowledge as they are tasked with providing hands-on training to other teachers and professionals in their respective districts, contributing to a widespread impact on the education and rehabilitation of children with Autism.
Expressing her commendation, the Secretary Special Education Department, Ms. Saima Saeed acknowledged the dedicated efforts of her team and the resource persons who played a crucial role in making the training program effective and impactful.
