Special Olympics Pakistan – National Games 2026 Conclude Successfully in Lahore*
Lahore, 16 July 2026: Special Olympics Pakistan successfully organized the National Games 2026 in Lahore, Punjab from 13th to 16th July 2026.
The Games featured competitions in *Table Tennis, Basketball, and Powerlifting* at the Punjab Sports Board, Lahore. More than 100 athletes from across the country participated with great enthusiasm and sportsmanship.
Students from Government Special Education Institutions across Punjab showcased outstanding performances. Their achievements in *Powerlifting* are as under:

- *Fahad Mahmood*: 2 Gold Medals
- *Faizan Butt*: 1 Gold Medal, 1 Bronze Medal
- *Zohaib Shahzad*: 1 Silver Medal, 1 Bronze Medal
- *Anam Ghafar*: 2 Bronze Medals
*2. Okara District*
*Govt. Ganj Shaker Special Education Center of Excellence*
- *Amina Razaq*: 2 Gold Medals _with New National Record_
_Amina Razaq made history by setting a new record in the female category with a grand total of 185 kg. For the first time in the history of Special Olympics Pakistan, a female athlete crossed 100 kg and lifted 105 kg in the Deadlift, with an overall total of 185 kg._

- *Saif Ullah Ejaz*: 2 Gold Medals

- *Syed Manzar Haider Naqvi*: 1 Bronze Medal
The remarkable achievements of these athletes, especially the historic record by Amina Razaq, reflect the talent, determination, and spirit of our special athletes. The Games also highlight the commitment of the Government of Punjab and Special Olympics Pakistan to promoting inclusive sports and providing equal opportunities for persons with intellectual disabilities.
Director Academics, Deputy Director Curriculum, DEO Lahore and Sahiwal, heads and teachers of special education Institutions along with parents of special children attended the event to encourage and celebrate the achievements of students.
