Sania Ashiq Jabeen, Special Assistant to the Chief Minister on Special Education Department, Punjab, chaired a meeting on June 17, 2025, with the LUMS team to discuss reforms regarding the revamping of the teachers' training program. The aim is to enhance the quality of teachers and leadership skills in school heads working in special education institutions.
The discussion was fruitful, and it was concluded that the LUMS team will develop a training framework in a phased manner. In Phase 1, training will focus on leadership skills development for school leaders, and in Phase 2, pedagogical skills will be planned for school teachers. Each phase will be preceded by a needs assessment.
