Department of Special Education Punjab in collaboration with Al-Hamra Art Council organized a live design competition and art exhibition in which special students and their teachers as well as ordinary children from prominent creative art institutes LHR

Special Education Department Punjab Celebrates Creativity and Inclusivity at Live Design Competition and Art Exhibition along with Prize Distribution Ceremony. The prize distribution ceremony of the live Design Competition, themed "Creativity within Diversity," was held today on 11-07-2025, celebrating the exceptional visual art skills of special students and typical students from across Punjab.

Key Highlights of the Event:

1. The event featured original bus logo designs created by students across Punjab for the transportation of special students, promoting a welcoming and joyful journey.

2. A logo design for the 1st State-of-the- art Punjab Autism School and Resource Centre, a flagship project of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, was showcased, aiming to create a sensory- friendly and inclusive visual identity.

3. Students from leading institutes, including National College of Arts, University of Punjab Art & design department, Punjab College, Lahore, University of Management and Technology, LACAS, The Crescent Model School, Hamza Foundation Academy and many Govt. special education institutions across Punjab, participated to showcase their talent and creativity.

4. Special persons from over 13 districts of Punjab participated and students from Govt. degree college of Special Education, Bahawalpur and Lahore secured first two positions, two students from Govt girls higher secondary school of special education Gujrat secured two positions in the competition.

5. The designs showcased care, creativity, and compassion, promoting a soft image of disability in society and highlighting the importance of inclusivity.

6. Designs were evaluated by three highly distinguished experts from the Art and Design world, *professor Sumera Jawad, professor Sarosh Tariq and Assistant professor Atif Khan.

7. Winners of the competition were awarded with cash prizes and certificates.

8. This event is an initiative of Secretary Special Education Muhammad Khan Ranjha, aligning with the vision of Chief Minister Punjab Maryam Nawaz Sharif, and marks a significant step towards building an inclusive society.

9. The event brought together students from general and special populations, promoting artistic expression and skills in an inclusive setting.
