Government In-Service Training College, for the Teachers of Disabled Children, Lahore has been doing this job effectively since 1988. The college is imparting training to the staff (teaching & non-teaching) of special education, which includes:

Objectives of Training
- To provide training to the teaching & non-teaching staff of special education for the enhancement of knowledge and professional skills
- To impart training about latest Teaching Methodologies
- Use and maintenance of equipment/ teaching aids
- Utilization of human & physical resources effectively
- Sensory Motor Coordination through Sports, Play, Skills and Music therapy
- To develop general awareness about the etiology, prevention & possible treatment and management of disabilities
- To train the teachers/staff in areas of stress management, problem solving & decision making
- To develop Master Trainer to impart vocational training and to prepare children with disabilities for Abilympics
- To develop understanding about the emotional, behavioral, social and cognitive problems of children with disabilities & their management
- Practical training in special education institutions, hospitals, etc.
- To give them orientation regarding PEEDA Act, contract appointment policy, leave rules, financial & administrative matters
- To inculcate national, moral & religious ethics in dealing children with children with disabilities
